New Wordpress version debugging!

Add comment June 30th, 2006

Ok so, my blog is pretty new and admittedly all I’ve done so far is go theme-hunting and look for plugins (I mean come on.. my first post was a list of links I wanted to remember for plugins! [and to make matters even sillier, I actually have a hidden post I use just for saving links I want to return to. What are those called again? Oh yeah.. bookmarks. Well I’ll call these ‘blogmarks’]).

But, I’ve enjoyed working with Wordpress, and I think I’m going to see about helping out with the 2.0.4 and 2.1 bug hunt. Before Wordpress, I tried both Serendipity and Nucleus and I really did not care for the interface of either one. One, the theme selection in both software packages is spotty at best, and the plugin selection numbers in the dozens compared to the 1000+ available for Wordpress.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to fiddling with Wordpress and I hope I don’t break the site too much, especially now that I’m so pleased with how I’ve gotten my theme to look.. if you feel like helping out, head on over to the Wordpress bug-hunt announcment to get all the info.

Quote of the Day

Disagreeing with someone's absolute moral or religious beliefs is almost always taken as a flame, no matter how politely phrased. So I don't bother beating around the bush about this kind of thing any more. Religion is stupid. The only kind of morality that matters is the kind that springs naturally from human beings trying to find mutually satisfactory ways of getting along. Threats from imaginary gods are irrelevant.
